Dior Nude foundation and Dior Fusion Flawless Foundation first impression

It's a long day today and I tried my two new dior foundations this morning for around 3 hours. I do not call it a review, neither a FOTD, it's just a first 3-hour impression.

I put Dior Fusion Flawless Foundation on left side of my face while Dior Nude on the right side.

I did not have good impression on these two foundations in the first 3 hours. To me, Dior compact foundations are much better than liquid foundations.

The texture of Dior Nude liquid foundation is thicker than Flawless foundation. I think it should be the other way around because the foundations which claim to be flawless are usually thicker while foundation with more natural looking are thinner, liquidier and runny (such as Revlon Nearly Naked).

I like thicker and creamier texture foundations because they are more emollient in general. However the Dior Nude liquid is very hard to blend on my face with my fingers. So far there's no foundations I have are not blendable with my fingers. I was also surprised that with its thicker texture, the coverage is very low. I do not feel the foundation dry, it's just hard to blend. I do not expect too much coverage on this liquid foundation, however I do hope it has more beautiful glow than my Guerlain powder foundations since Dior names this foundation as 'skin glowing makeup'.

In terms of Dior Flawless foundation, it's very liquidy. I had impression that it's much thinner and runnier than Revlon Colorstay foundation. The foundation for sure has better coverage than Nude foundation but not as good as my other higher coverage foundations such as Revlon Colorstay or Estee Lauder Double Wear. With one thin layer, the coverage is around medium.

All in all, I did not wear these two foundation long enough to tell if they are good or bad.  However I do think the compact foundations are better than liquid foundations. By wearing both foundations in short 3 hour time, I do not feel anything superb. I think drugstore foundations can achieve such finish and look as well.

I will keep trying these two in the future as it becomes cooler here.
